BACK FROM OXFORD
March 24, 20112
Hey Oxford was great! All those colleges make me realize just how academically I am undernourished. I had a great 10 day bonding session with my brother. We were both in tears when it came time to say our goodbyes.
Our time was filled with lots of walking throughout the city and the surrounding countryside. In fact we managed to average just over four hours a day interspersed with either a pub lunch or latte at a favourite coffee shop. We reminisced of the times we had together as youngsters,
gossiped about other family members and had heart to heart conversations of my rcc and what may or may not be in store for me. It felt good to talk frankly with David. I could feel his love and his strong support. I found this openness to be very uplifting and was very happy that I had followed the “do it now” policy.
(The Bear Pub, behind Christ Church College, claims to be the oldest in Oxford dating back to 1242 AD, a 5 star recommendation from a friend in Vancouver. I concur, heartily.)
I still feel good, my energy levels are high and let me do lots of walking as you can see from my comments above. Dr. Moretto reports the tests I underwent prior to my trip show no additional matastises. I am free to travel or do whatever until I see her again in May to discuss targeted therapy options. Therefore, I am scheduling a trip to see grandchildren in Winnipeg, registering to attend the KCC Educational Conference in Toronto April 21, talking with my sister about a trip to New Orleans. April is going to be a busy month. Life is good.
Hi Don,
